Hello Again!! I have had a lot of fun in this class this semester!! Mr. Davidson, you are a cool teacher. I have met new people and started some friendships that will last. Hello!!! I am in library on the computer til my next class. This semester needs to end, i am so stressed out. I have one class that doesn't look like I'm going to pass. I just don't understand. I did all the assignment but oh well. I have prayed about it and now I have put it in God's hands. Anyways. I finally got my son into the daycare on campus. He starts monday. I happy because I know he will be learning something. Well now I have to my next class. Peace Out!!!

My Weekend

Hello Classmates!!! I had a wonderful thanksgiving break. I went to my hometown Vicksburg, ms. I got to spend time with my dad and go shopping. Only thing that was missing was my husband wasn't there. He had an away game in Jackson,tn and they left on thanksgiving day, and did not come back til early Sunday morning. Now on to this weekend, MY SON WILL BE TURNING ONE SATURDAY!!!!!!!! It don't even feel like a year has gone by. We are going to have him a party at Pizza Hut!! I am so excited. Then on Monday he starts a new child care facility. This is going to be one crazy, but exciting weekend!!!! YEAH!!!!! Bye

Have you notice how the amount of children in the child care system out numbers workers? Child Care is used by more than half of the parents in the United States. I am a parent of an eleven month old son who attends child care on a daily basis. I place a big concern on the overpopulation of the facility, workers ratio, and price of child care.
Overpopulation is a big problem with child care. The facilities accept more children than they can provide adequate care for. Child care facilities should have a specific room for a certain age group. They should separate the younger infants from the older infants. My so n is being placed in the same room with six weeks infants. I feel as though that is a disgrace because at his age he should be learning. Instead of teaching him, they are babysitting him. The younger infants get the attention first because of age. Overpopulation shouldn’t be taking lightly. It can cause a child’s life, well- being, and safety. They should also get another facility for pre- kindergarten children, so that will give more room in the child care facility. It will also prepare the children better for elementary school.
Workers ratio with infants is 4; 1. In most child care facilities, that ratio is not follow through. My son is in the infant room with nine infants and one constant worker. Others workers come in and help, but the majority of the time, it’s only one. Workers should have a child development degree, so they will be certified to teach and care for children of younger ages.
Price of child care is ridiculous! Average child care is a week is one hundred to one hundred twenty dollars a week. The state should give vouchers that are not income base. I propose that the state should build child care facilities design for full time students, where it will be a smaller fee per week. That the state will pay the workers, so that the child care facility would not have to meet payroll to pay their workers. Each teacher should have a degree. So therefore, they would be paying license teachers instead of workers with no degrees.
Child care has a powerful influence in our little ones brain development. If they are overpopulated, workers over worked, and too expensive the children suffer the most.

My Weekend!!

Hello!! I have been having a wonderful weekend!! I hope everybody has too!! Well yesterday my husband had a basketball game at William Carey, and we went to watch him play. He did very well. Then, later that night my friends and I had girls night out. We made some drinks, rotel, and played taboo!! It was so much fun. A night without the baby!!! YEAH!!!!!! Well now its Sunday, and we just finish barbecuing. I did some homemade macaroni and cheese. Now I full and about to take a nap. I'll see yall in class Tuesday!! BYE!!

Hello everybody!! I am so bored right now. I am sitting under the hair dryer. I hate this. It is so HOT under here and my son keep messing wit me. For all of yall that didn't know I am the proud mother of a very active, loving, and handsome ten month old little boy. He means the world to me. He is the reason I stayed in school after having him because I have to provide a wonderful life for him, myself, and husband. I like babies, that why I want three more. Hopefully it will be two boys and one girl. I want that one girl so I can spoil her!!! I think family is a wonderful thing. Without family most of us would be lost.

Hello!!! I love my family so much! I was stressing out because the winter clothes I bought my son were extremely too big, so today I recieved a package and in it was 12 outfits and two pair of shoes from my mother. I feel so bless to have family that will help me. My mother is truly a blessing. I know everybody feels this way about thier mother, but mine is incredible. She has always supported me. She moved to florida my ninth grade year of high school, I stayed here in mississippi because my grandmother was ill. My mother has always told me treat others the way you wanted to be treated and if you keep God first blessings will flow your way. Her wisdom and wise words has brought me through many storms. Thanks for reading about how special my mother is to me!!!

Hello Everybody!! I have to tell you about my weekend. My husband and I went to movies and saw Tyler Perry's movie Why did I get married?!!! The movie was so good. I especially liked Angela because she kept it real. If you haven't seen it, I would recommend you go. Anyways I am so ready for this semester to be over. I feel so overwhelmed. I hope all of yall semester is going great. I am so proud of myself for getting an A on my paper because I worked very hard on it. Hello everybody!! I'm so tired. My son has a ear infection and he is not happy. He has been up all night. He has a fever of 102.5. So just imagine how I feel. I hope everybody else's week has went better than mine. My husband and I got into an big arguement yesterday over something so stupid, but he'll be alright. I want to go to the fair in jackson before it leave but money is looking funny. I will be happy when I graduate from school with a degree so I can be financially stable. But oh well enough of my problems. See you in class tuesday!!

Hello Everybody!!! I am very bored!!! I guess I'll just tell yall things about myself. I attended JSU then transferred to southern.This is my second semester here. I am a junior here majoring in child and family studies with an emphasis with family relations. My life has changed so much since my freshman year, I got preganant the second semester of my freshman year by my high school sweetheart which is now my husband. I have never taken a semester out of school because I was preganant I kept going. I had him december 1, 2006 and started back school January 16, 2007. God has work so many things out in my life and I am very grateful for the wonderful things he has done for me.

BORED

Hello Everybody!!! I am so bored and I am in the library waiting on my next class to start. I hate I made my schedule for only tuesday and thursday classes, because I be so tired from going to class all day and doing homework that night then I work mwf from 830-530. I don't know what I was thinking. Oh well I hope everybody week is going better than mine. And I have also been extremely busy planning my wedding. I know everybody is thinking I thought she was already married and I am. We got married this summer at the court house but we are going to still have a wedding next may. I am so excited. But I will be happy when it's all over. Now I am tired of typing so I'll Holla!!! Bye

Hello People!!! I know yall have heard about what has happen with Michael Vick. I can't believe they reacted that way to his to his dogfighting charges. Yes it was wrong but people was acting like he was killing humans. He is one of the best NFL players ever. I really think it is a race issue. He lost a lot of money when he received those charges. Now he is suspended from the league this season and has to spend time in jail. He wasn't the one actually doing all the killing or harm, but he was the one funding it. I just hate to see a successful black man be held back over some foolishness. He is in my prayers. Bye!!!

Tuition

Have you ever wonder where all the money goes that we pay for tuition? That's a question I always ask myself quite often. They charge us almost 2500 for tuition to make the campus better, but all I see is that you have to be part of an organization to reap the benefits. I live in the Family Housing on campus, and they have made everything look better and improved but those apartments. When you see these apartments you wouldn't think they belong on this campus. They knocked down almost half of these apartments to build sorority houses. Not that I have anything against sorority houses, but I think they should have bought more land to build that and not put out families that are trying to better themselves for thier families. On the other hand, I do appreciate that USM have a program where I can get a degree and have some of the joys of staying on campus. Without this program me and my husband might be struggling as a young married couple with an infant son.
